A WARM WELCOME TO VISITORS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD TO FRASERBURGH GOLF CLUB

Take a brief drive from Aberdeen along the North East Aberdeenshire coast in Scotland and you will find a totally unspoiled, good old fashioned traditional links layout. If you are looking for a genuine slice of real Scottish golf history in an informal relaxed, welcoming setting at very reasonable green fee, this is it..

Established in 1777, Come enjoy the 7th Oldest Golf Club in the World, 5th Oldest in Scotland & The Oldest in the world operating under its original name. Choose from one of our two excellent courses. The Stunning and Historical James Braid inspired 18 hole CorbieHill links, one of the finest links courses in the whole of Scotland, Wonderful views and some truly spectacular holes makes Corbiehill a true links adventure.

This is where the Moray Firth and the North Sea converge, creating a unique microclimate where Mother Nature becomes even more cantankerous than usual. Be prepared for an invigorating ride around Fraserburgh’s substantial sand dunes and an experience reminiscent of how golf must have been more than a century ago. Wildly undulating fairways, sand hills, unpredictable winds, wonderful views and some truly spectacular holes makes Fraserburgh a true links adventure from start to finish.

Golf at Fraserburgh is far more than golf and fresh breezes off the North Sea which often heighten to provide a real test of ability. The club is proud of its unique heritage and the important place it holds in the history of the game.

Today’s feisty championship course, a James Braid (5 times Open Championship winner) redesign of the original layout, is one of the most natural links courses you will ever find.

Fraserburgh offers a wide range of golfing experiences including trademark James Braid designs of Plateaued greens, undulating fairways and green surrounds.

We also have Corbiehill’s little sister the Rosehill 9 hole layout which was commissioned in 1996 after the purchase of Additional land from lady Saltoun with design thoughts credited to Fraserburgh Golfing great Jack Pressley (Scottish Amateur finalist 1947). Although not as taxing as Corbiehill it provides a good test of golf on its own merits or a nice warmup for the main event.

Both courses are maintained to the same high standards meaning each showcases the undulations and smooth-running greens for which Scotland’s links courses are renowned.

" FRASERBURGH, Aberdeenshire, Scotland -- Golfers driving by Fraserburgh Golf Club probably aren't tempted to stop. The first and 18th holes of the Corbie Hill Course across the street from the modest two-story clubhouse look mostly non-descript. Hidden away from view, however, is one of Scotland's most underrated links, a James Braid classic. Put Fraserburgh, the seventh oldest club in the world, dating to 1777, on your next golf tour of the Highlands. The dunes on the other side of Corbie Hill frame a unique collection of holes. The par 4 second climbs up the hill to review stunning views of Fraserburgh Bay and the town. The 331-yard, par-4 third plays downhill from this elevated perch, but the payback comes swiftly at the next, a 328-yarder. The par 3s on the front nine are spectacular, the fifth hidden by a dune hump and the treacherous seventh surrounded by deep bunkers. The highest dunes pinch the par-5 15th hole and par-4 16th hole, delivering a fine climax to a rewarding round of golf that costs much less than the other bucket-list links of the region."
